Kimberly D. Bishop
Owner & Founding Attorney
Kimberly Blackwell (maiden name) was born and raised in Salisbury, North Carolina. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and her law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law.
Kimberly D. Bishop, Attorney at Law, began her legal career practicing Social Security Disability in 2008. She has appeared before Administrative Law Judges in Raleigh, Greensboro, Fayetteville, and Charlotte. She also has experience with the Appeals Council and Federal Court.
Since founding The Bishop Law Firm in 2013, Attorney Bishop has represented North Carolinians in Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation, and Social Security Disability claims, handling cases from initial investigation and insurance negotiations through litigation when necessary.
Attorney Bishop represents individuals injured in car accidents and other personal injury matters throughout North Carolina. Her approach focuses on evidence-driven advocacy, including liability analysis, medical record development, coordination with treating providers, and strategic negotiation with insurance companies, with litigation pursued when insurers refuse fair resolution.
In 2026, Attorney Bishop introduced Lady Law, a professional persona used to help explain legal advocacy to injured and disabled North Carolinians and make the legal process more approachable.
